Cable Services Group’s Natural Partnership North Wales Wildlife Trust Boosts Biodiversity and Employee Wellbeing.

Cable Services Group has become a proud “natural partner” of the North Wales Wildlife Trust. In collaboration with the Trust, Enfys Ecology, and other businesses on the Wrexham Industrial Estate, we are working to enhance our natural surroundings, promoting both environmental sustainability and employee well-being.

In an effort to improve the natural environment around our Wrexham branch, we have embarked on a series of environmentally sensitive landscaping and site management initiatives. This collaborative effort aims to enrich the local ecosystem and promote biodiversity while improving employee wellbeing through access to natural outdoor spaces.

This partnership brings numerous benefits to Cable Services Group employees, the environment and the wider community. Enhancing natural habitats promotes biodiversity and supports wildlife sustainability. Wild spaces also play a vital role in absorbing carbon and greenhouse gases. By offering green outdoor spaces where employees can relax and connect with nature, we aim to improve overall wellbeing and foster a more productive and enjoyable work environment.

Cable Services Group received a grant to support much of the landscaping work for this project. We further invested in outdoor furniture to ensure our staff could enjoy the green space and appreciate the natural surroundings comfortably. Additionally, we created a pond to support local wildlife, providing an essential water source and habitat that enriches the area’s biodiversity.

Jason Bostock, Managing Director of Cable Services Group, is proud to contribute to the fight against climate change and support nature recovery in North Wales. He said:

“The North Wales Wildlife Trust emphasised that ‘nature is good for business,’ and we couldn’t agree more. Supporting the natural environment around our industrial facility is deeply rewarding, and we look forward to discovering more about the wildlife we’re attracting to this part of the estate. This initiative not only helps us meet our sustainability and climate targets but also provides employees with a tranquil retreat away from the office. Prioritising employee wellness is crucial to us, and we’re already seeing noticeable improvements in both morale and productivity.”

As we move forward, Cable Services Group remains committed to sustainable practices and fostering a harmonious relationship between industry and nature. Our work with the North Wales Wildlife Trust and Enfys Ecology is a testament to the effectiveness of partnerships in achieving environmental goals. We are delighted that this initiative is also contributing to employee satisfaction and creating a more balanced and positive working environment for all.
