Scotch® Electrical Semi-Conducting Tape 13 is a highly conformable, semi-conducting, Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR)-based, high-voltage splicing tape. This semi-conducting tape lengthens easily to conform to irregular shapes and retains its conductivity when stretched. Scotch® Electrical Semi-Conducting Tape 13 lengthens easily to conform to irregular shapes and retains its conductivity when stretched. It is stable over a wide temperature range and it doesn’t effect the conductivity of cable semi-conducting jackets. This tape is used for high voltage connections and provides cable shield continuation. Replaces semi-conducting layer beneath metallic shield in various medium-voltage cable repairs and splices. Electrically round-outs high-voltage connectors and bonds to insulating materials to minimise electrical stresses. Withstands temperatures up to 90 °C. Round out bolted connections on insulated bus bars. Provides shielding for cable splices on solid dielectric insulated power cables. ASTM Approval and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant. Not to be used for electrical insulation.
